class DHTMLSuite.slider

Purpose of class: Display a DHTML slider on a web page. This slider could either be displayed horizontally or vertically(demo 1 and demo 2).

init

void init()

Initializes the script, i.e. creates the slider

setInitialValue

void setInitialValue(newInitialValue)

Specify a new CSS file for the slider(i.e. not using default css file which is slider.css)

Parameters:
String - nameOfNewCssFile - Name of new css file.

setLayoutCss

void setLayoutCss(nameOfNewCssFile)

Specify a new CSS file for the slider(i.e. not using default css file which is slider.css)

Parameters:
String - nameOfNewCssFile - Name of new css file.

setNumberOfSliderSteps

void setNumberOfSliderSteps(numberOfSteps)

Divide slider into steps, i.e. instead of having a smooth slide.

Parameters:
Int - numberOfSteps - Number of steps

setOnChangeEvent

void setOnChangeEvent(nameOfFunction)

Specify which function to call when the slider has been moved.

Parameters:
String - nameOfFunction - Name of function to call.

setSliderDirection

void setSliderDirection(newDirection)

Specify where to insert the slider

Parameters:
String - newDirection - New slider direction. Possible DHTMLSuite.slider.prototype.valuse = "hor";or "ver"

setSliderHeight

void setSliderHeight(newHeight)

Specify height of slider - if now width is specified, the script will try to measure the height of width of the element where it is inserted.

Parameters:
String - newHeight - Slider width(numeric or percentage) DHTMLSuite.slider.prototype.example = 100;or 90%

setSliderMaxValue

void setSliderMaxValue(newMaxValue)

Set maximum value of slider

Parameters:
int - newMaxValue - New slider max value

setSliderMinValue

void setSliderMinValue(newMinValue)

Set minimum value of slider

Parameters:
int - newMinValue - New slider min value

setSliderName

void setSliderName(nameOfSlider)

Specify name of slider.

Parameters:
String - nameOfSlider - Name of function to call.

setSliderPointerDirection

void setSliderPointerDirection(directionOfPointer)

In which direction should the slider handle point.

Parameters:
String - directionOfPointer - In which direction should the slider handle point(possible DHTMLSuite.slider.prototype.values = 'up';'down','left','right'

setSliderReversed

void setSliderReversed()

Reverse slider, i.e. max at left instead of right or at bottom instead of top

setSliderTarget

void setSliderTarget(targetRef)

Specify where to insert the slider

Parameters:
Object - targetRef - Id of element where the slider will be created inside(There shouldn't be any content inside this div)

setSliderValue

void setSliderValue(newValue)

Set new position of slider manually

Parameters:
Int - newValue - New value of slider

setSliderWidth

void setSliderWidth(newWidth)

Specify width of slider - if now width is specified, the script will try to measure the height of width of the element where it is inserted.

Parameters:
String - newWidth - Slider width(numeric or percentage) DHTMLSuite.slider.prototype.example = 100;or 90%

setStepLinesVisible

void setStepLinesVisible(visible)

Divide slider into steps.

Parameters:
Boolean - visible - When using static steps, make lines indicating steps visible or hidden(true = visible(default), false = hidden)
